The first reason is that any major reasons not to buy the home may be revealed. Do not hesitate to decide to resume your search. Let's discuss your concerns about that home.
Second, if the home obviously needs repairs that were not revealed to us when we made the offer, it gives you an opportunity to request the owner to make those repairs. If they agree to do the repairs, terrific! If they refuse to make some or all of the requested repairs, the risks giving you the opportunity to release the contract and must return your earnest money. You and I can discuss your options before making that decision.
